Forget previous WiFi connection
Here are the steps to "forget" Wi-Fi networks:
- restart the frame (unplug the frame and wait about 20 seconds and then plug it back in again)
- during the frame's start-up screens, do not press any buttons on the remote control.
- the frame should eventually show the "Welcome to ViewClix" screen. THE FRAME WILL HAVE A SPINNER ICON ON THE SCREEN, ALLOW THE SPINNER ICON TO DISAPPEAR PRIOR TO FOLLOWING THE BELOW STEPS.
- you will need to press a special sequence of 3 buttons. The 3 buttons needed to be pressed one after the other, within 3 seconds:
1. Menu button (that's the button with 3 horizontal lines)
2. Play/pause button
3. Menu button (again)
After that, the frame should display a message, "Wi-Fi networks have been cleared". Then press the OK button and the frame will reboot.
If you are receiving error code 889: this is related to an internet glitch or an update to the network settings. Sometimes networks will update in the background without your knowledge.
Follow the above steps to forget the networks and reconnect to the network. This will resolve error code 889.
