You'll first want to check if the light comes on at the top of the remote control when you press buttons. If there is no light then you may need to replace the battery.
There are 2 models of the ViewClix remote control, silver and black.
For the black remote control, the battery lid clips into the back and standard AAA batteries are used.
For the silver remote control, to replace the battery, there is small grey tab located on the bottom of the remote control on the back side. Pull this tab out to remove the battery housing. It is a tight fit so you may need some leverage using a small flat-head screw driver.
This remote control uses a "coin" battery which is type CR2032 (3 volts).
